Wehhan Terraces
Game freezes up when I try to enter Wehhan Terraces, yadda yadda.
Error message
I am on a Gateway 7330GZ laptop, Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz, 992 MB of RAM.
I have whatever the standard graphics card is, not entirely sure where to find the name of it.
I've looked into the old integrated graphics card tutorial, but a lot of that is over my head. I tried to download the drivers from the link, but when I did find the actual download(from a link on the 2nd page) and d/l it, an error message popped up saying the file is corrupt.
Things to know:
I have no idea what goes on inside a computer. I don't understand what drivers are. Layman's terms work best for me. Also, Guild Wars works perfectly fine everywhere else so far with minimum settings.
EDIT UPDATE: I tried using 3Danalyzer, using the following specifications:
Now have it open your GW .exe and check these boxes:
* force Z-Buffer: Checked
* Anti Detect Mode - Shaders: Checked
* Anti Detect Mode - Textures: Checked
* Z-Buffer - Force 24 Bit Stencil: Checked
* Everything else: Unchecked
Unsuccessful. I get the same exact error.

if you are forcing dx8 using the -dx8 command, take it out. the vabbi area only runs under dx9.
by looking at your computer's specs, i'm guessing it's got a 82910/915 integrated graphics. that setup should be able to run the vabbi areas with the latest drivers... i know mine did.
go download the latest drivers and the latest version of directx9. it should be able to run after that.

And I would get these drivers from Gateway.com? or should I just google 82910/915 drivers?

go to http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Prod...=1765&lang=eng (i think that's the address), and find the latest drivers for GMA 915 drivers. make sure the drivers are compatible for 915.
